Manny Pacquiao Vs. Joshua Clottey, Speed Vs. Power


The whole world saw a stunning and a legendary match last night as Manny Paquiao dazzled his opponent for a unanimous victory. The Paquiao vs Clottey match was an interesting fight from the beginning as Joshua Clottey was considered one of the toughest walls you could throw your punches at, but ofcourse there’s always room for surprises and unexpected events in the sport of boxing. In the Paquiao vs Clottey match, Paquiao from his country Philippines was lesser or lighter of the two welterweight giants and the crowd expectation was for Joshua to win the because from the start he has exhibited his blocking force a many of times but then the unexpected happened as Manny the Pacman ran circles around the big man Joshua.

All the twelve rounds of the unforgettable Paquiao vs Clottey fight were dominated by the Filipino which created a sense of surprise for the man from Ghana. At the end of the match the overall result was in favor of Manny who scored 120 from Duane and 119 from the other two judges Nelson and Levi compared to Joshua’s 108 and 109 by the other two. The match was a very classic example of brute force and blocking versus speed and it came to show that power isn’t everything in the game of boxing. The crowd scored the match as a 120-108 in favor of Manny who walked away to come back on the first of May to either fight between Mayweather or Mosley. Paquiao wants to fight Mosley more than Mayweather calling it as a greater challenge for him and the one that he is looking forward to.

Paquiao landed a total of one thousand two hundred and thirty-one punches out of which he landed two hundred and forty-six as compared to Joshua who only landed one third as many punches of three-hundred and ninety-nine out of which he landed a hundred and eight punches.
