Blake is an instant upgrade from the Jordan Farmar/Shanon Brown back-up tandem that they had last year. Now Steve Blake can play 20 solid minutes while Derek Fisher rests.

“Tisha Taylor Murphy, wife of comedian and actor Charlie Murphy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, with family at her side after facing the challenges of cancer for the past two years. The Murphy Family appreciates all the support they have received from friends and fans and requests privacy during this very difficult time.”

Charlie Murphy’s wife had been battling with cancer for some time, but still, cancer treatments weren’t enough.

Yet, the back to back champions are focusing for another championship, making it three-peat. The Lakers' head coach, Phil Jackson, is not yet decided if he's still going to coach the Lakers for another championship run or is it time to have a break.

Gary Coleman's Death

Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems that made his popularity faded when the show ended after six seasons on NBC and two on ABC, he has died after suffering an intercranial hemorrhage.

Coleman suffered continuing ill health from the kidney disease that stunted his growth and had a host of legal problems in recent years.


He was taken off life support on Friday morning and passed away, both TMZ and Radaronline.com first reported. His wife Shannon Price and her father were at the hospital.

The star died at 12:05 PM MDT.

Coleman, at age 42, was best known for his role as Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes." Word got out that he was hospitalized Thursday and in critical condition.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said life support was terminated and Coleman died at 12:05 p.m. MDT.

Coleman, with his sparkling eyes and perfect comic timing, became a star after "Diff'rent Strokes" debuted in 1978. He played the younger brother in a pair of African-American siblings adopted by a wealthy white man.

Ofcourse, it was now removed in her account. The popular vocalist did not comment on the embarrassing contreversial photo directly.

The twitpic quickly got over 5,000 views before being removed, going completely viral, and of course some people downloading it. She received unwanted comments before logging in to say that her account got hacked. But to think about it, someone would have to have access to that photo of Hayley Williams and be able to access her twitter account.

Kobe, sharing his experience as an all-star to South Africa

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant painted Johannesburg red last weekend – not by partying up a storm, but by speaking to young people of Soweto at the Football Training Centre about HIV/Aids.
The all-star, who visited South Africa with a six-man entourage on Saturday for his first visit to the country, proudly celebrated the completion of Nike’s community training centre, which will be used to improve and help develop soccer talent and promote HIV/Aids education.

Wearing his black and green tracksuit, Kobe Bryant spoke to the young and unexperienced soccer players about “winning, getting the winning edge and about being responsible about their health”.

“While basketball is my chosen sport, I’ve been a football fan all my life. So to be in South Africa for the first time and see how Nike is utilising sport to inspire youth and educate them around HIV/Aids is amazing.It’s crystal clear that this centre will help keep kids out of trouble, improve their game, as well as empower them with the life skills they need to live better and HIV- free,” said Bryant.

The centre, owned by the sportswear giant Nike, plans to offer 20000 budding football players a year the chance to develop their talent while learning about HIV/Aids.

The New York Times reported that Bryant – who is said to be staying in Sandton – flew by helicopter to Rustenburg’s Royal Bafokeng stadium to watch the US round-of-16 clash against Ghana. Bryant was reportedly disappointed that Ghana won from South Africa 2-1.

“I take it personally when we lose . I wish I could physically be healthy to play in the world games and take the soccer team’s frustration out on these other countries in basketball,” the newspaper quoted the star as saying.

Seruscka Naidoo, communications manager for Nike SA, said: “Bryant is now rooting for the Brazilian team, as he is a firm supporter of the team as well.”

The long awaited Mayweather vs. Mosley bout was last night, May 1, 2010 at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win allowed Mayweather to keep his perfect record intact, 41-0. The fight was a good one with Mosley getting in lots of his strong hits in the second round to Mon. In fact, Mosley almost knocked down Mayweather with a solid right during the second. However, Mayweather was able to put himself together and finish the match against the Sugar.

The amount of punches he landed to Mosley was so accurate that there was no doubt who the winner of the bout was. Two of the ringside judges scored the fight 119-109 for Mayweather, and a third scored it 118-110. Mayweather landed 208 of 477 punches while Mosley landed just 92 of 452.

There are rumors that Mayweather’s next fight will be with Manny Pacquiao, the recently said pound-for-pound King. The Mayweather Pacquiao fight may take place in this year of 2010.

The iPhone has driven the sales through the roof, selling over eight million iPhones when they were expecting to only sell seven million. Apple enjoyed a 130% sales increase on the iPhone from a year ago. Since so many people are willing to buy one of the most popular technological phenomenons of the last decade, it’s no doubt that Apple will make their business to grow more.

The report of Apple earnings also included some heavy sales for Mac computers as well. Nearly three million Macs were purchased over the quarter, showing a sales increase for their computer brand of about 40 percent. Apple managed to also sell over 10 million iPods. The iPod touch has been quite the popular item as well.

CNN reports that Steve Jobs had told a conference that Apple had sold around 450,000 units for the basic unit alone.

The former President Bill Clinton used the occasion to bash his critics.

"What We Learned in Oklahoma City" Clinton placed the blame on Americans who have been advocated as a smaller government. The terrorists, bomber Timothy McVeigh and his accomplices, who targeted the Murrah Federal Building, wrote, "took to the ultimate extreme an idea advocated in the months and years before the bombing by an increasingly vocal minority: the belief that the greatest threat to American freedom is our government, and that public servants do not protect our freedoms, but abuse them."

Clinton said that criticism is just part of the lifeblood of democracy, we should remember that there is a big difference between criticizing a policy or a politician and demonizing the government that guarantees our freedom and public servants who enforce our laws."

Clinton continued, "We must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged."

So if anyone were to cast blame for the Fort Hood shootings that left deaths, or any other terrorisms within American military bases, then that movement would be followed by outrageous comments. It would be absurd to suggest that to contradict the war is by promoting violence against U.S. troops.

Calipari,Kentucky, Ready For Showdown with West Virginia

Pringles Recall Due To Contamination

Pringles is a very delicious snack for everyone, but Pringles snacks were recalled due to contamination. The Pringles flavors affected were the Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger and Family Faves Taco Night.

According to the FDA, they believe that the Pringles may have been contaminated by salmonella. If the Pringles contain a "Best by" 2011 stamp, they may be contaminated.

There were early reports of salmonella, which involves basic food flavoring. This is the reason why Pringles was recalled. There was also a recall of an onion soup product last week.

Consumers of the recalled Pringles should discard the product and call Procter & Gamble at 1-877-876-7881 for a replacement coupon or refund.

The FDA has identified 94 products in all that use HVP seasoning from Basic Food Flavors and more recalls could be on the way.
