Stuart Holden got his sweet revenge from his biggest rival England when USA held the dominant side for and unlikely draw. As scores were tied at 1-1, the American team rejoiced like a victory. The outcome of this fight icreases the hope of the America to make it to the 2nd round.

His rivalry against England therefore goes back since the English-American rivalry started as early as the Revolutionary War. In spite of diplomatic relations improving greatly between the two nations there were several speculations doing the rounds about the Americans causing a big upset.
